Calvary Church, founded in 1874 in Stonington, CT, has a faithful 17 year relationship with the people of Uganda. Members of the Uganda Mission Team at Calvary primarily support Chain Foundation Orphanage and the Martin Nkoyoyo Inclusive Primary School for the Blind in Mukono Uganda. Calvary has partnered with Teammates For Life on several projects over the past 4 years.

Dr. Canon Kasamba and his family are the" roots" of the current extended relationships created over the past 17 years. Periodic mission trips by the members of Calvary's Uganda Mission Team have resulted in new friendships which continue to enhance our lives and the lives of many children and communities in Uganda.

Again in December a member will travel to Uganda to visit our mission partners there with whom we have a longstanding relationship to share the love of God in word and deed with those in that land who are especially in need. Much of our focus is on education. Over the years we have also provided scholarships for students studying to become nurses and teachers.

The now Rev. Chris Ochaloi (middle right), one of our past Calvary Scholarship recipients, will be very instrumental to the Teammates Mission Team during the visit this year.  Chris has helped facilitate connections with our old friends and introduced us to a new educational ministry, Destiny Life Ministries International.  Through his efforts, funds are easily sent by the Calvary Outreach Committee to Uganda to help meet pressing human needs.

Canon Kasamba and the Rev. Chris Ochaloi are longtime friends (teacher/student at Uganda Christian University).

Teammates For Life partnered with Calvary Church to finance 32 pairs of new sneakers for the community girls and boys basketball teams which are organized and operated under Destiny Life Ministries International.

Additionally, these sneakers provided to the Wakiso community teams were transported from the USA to Uganda by our new Christian friends at Children's Heritage Foundation in Solana Beach, California -
